An all year round destination - Cala’n Bosch

If you want to escape the crowds then visit Cala’n Bosch off-season and you’ll discover a very peaceful place. Although busier in the high season, which runs from May to October, this purpose built resort on the southwest tip of Menorca makes for a fun-packed beach holiday for all the family. With a flight time of less than three hours from the UK, Cala’n Bosch with its own sandy beach and attractive marina, is an ideal destination to grab a last minute summer holiday.

It’s all about the beach on a Cala’n Bosch holiday

If your ideal holiday involves relaxing on a sandy beach while the kids splash about in safe shallow waters, then Cala’n Bosch is the place for you. Next to the beach is the bustling marina, which has plenty of bars and restaurants clustered along the waterfront. It’s a great place to sit and enjoy fresh fish for dinner after a hard day on the beach. The perfect combination for an enjoyable Spain holiday.

If you fancy some action take a trip to the neighbouring resort of Son Xoriguer and have a go at wind surfing or snorkelling. Hire a boat and discover the hidden beaches and secret coves along this extensive stretch of coast. The beautiful and quiet beaches of Playa Son Saura, Es Talaier and Cala Macarella are some of the best in the area. Playa Son Saura can be reached along the footpath that starts at the eastern end of the beach at Son Xoriguer.

Hire bicycles, pack a picnic and make a day of it cycling the 10km coastal route from Cala’n Bosch to the historic city of Ciutadella. Spend time exploring the beaches along the way before wandering through the cobbled streets of the old town and visiting the cathedral, gothic churches and old palaces. Watch the sun go down at one of the restaurants lining the picturesque harbour side.

Back in Cala’n Bosch let the kids run wild at the Aqua Rock Water Park, which is located close to the Marina. And if you want to do something completely different and experience a taste of authentic Menorca then a wander around the peaceful fishing village of Cala Morells is a wonderful way to spend a sunny afternoon. The bronze and Iron Age cave dwellings found outside the village are well worth a visit too. There are plenty of other resorts to visit in Menorca when on holiday in Cala’n Bosch.
