Calas de Mallorca

Hire bikes and explore the beautiful countryside, or take a glass bottomed boat along the coast. Some of the trips stop at Porto Cristo where you can visit the Caves of Drach with their spectacular rock formations and underground lake.

Take a trip the Manacor to see how Majorcan pearls are manufactured from glass and fish scales in a special process that renders them almost indistinguishable from the real thing. There is also a parrot park, Exotic Parque Los Parajos, just outside the resort and The Tropical Park Jamaica where you can find a vibrant array of animals and plants.

Calas de Mallorca has three excellent beaches in sheltered coves: Cala Antena, Cala Domingos Gran and Cala Domingos Petit. You can walk between the beaches on the coastal path, but a quicker and easier option is to take the Calas Express road train that travels between them. The biggest beach, Cala Domingos Gran, holds a European Blue Flag for cleanliness, and at each beach there are plenty of opportunities for pedal boat sailing and watersports.

It’s definitely worth visiting the Sunday market at the nearby town of Felanitx, considered to be one of the best in Majorca. You could also take the steep climb to the Monastery of San Salvador and take in the magnificent views.
